Team chat

Construction team chat, tied to the work

A channel for each project, direct messages and a thread on every task — so the question, the photo and the decision stay with the job instead of disappearing in a WhatsApp group.

Conversations that stay with the project

  • A channel for every project

Each project gets its own channel, next to a general one for the company. People see the channels of the projects they work on, and nothing else.

  • A thread on every task

Questions and answers about a task live on the task, beside its status, due date, photos and diary entries — the full story in one place.

  • Direct messages

One-to-one conversations with anyone in the company, without handing out personal phone numbers.

  • Voice notes, transcribed

Record a voice note when typing is not an option. It is transcribed, so the office can read what the site said.

  • Photos and files

Send a photo of the problem straight from the site. It stays in the conversation and with the project.

  • Real time, on site and in the office

Messages appear the moment they are sent. Task assignments, updates and reminders also reach the phone as push notifications.

How teams use it

  1. Talk in the project channel

Day-to-day coordination happens in the channel of the project, seen by the people working on it.

  2. Discuss a task in its thread

A problem with a specific task is raised on that task, with a photo.

  3. Find the decision later

Months on, open the task: the question, the answer and who gave it are still there.

Questions about team chat

Why not just use WhatsApp on site?

WhatsApp groups mix every project and every topic, live on personal phones and leave with the people who leave. In SiteNext a conversation belongs to a project or a task, access follows the project, and the history stays with the company.

Can subcontractors and clients take part?

Yes. Team members are free and unlimited: invite them to the projects that concern them and they see those conversations only.

Can I send photos and voice notes?

Yes. Send a photo from the site or record a voice note in any channel or task thread. Voice notes are transcribed, so they can be read as well as played.

What happens to messages when someone leaves the company?

They stay where they were written: in the project channel or on the task, available to the rest of the team.
